Mainstreet Suites consists of 4 apartments located on the second floor of the Collins Building, built in downtown Bramwell, in 1923. Jairus Collins, from Clayton Alabama, settled in Bramwell in 1896. Jairus was one of the original millionaire coal barons to settle here and operated 6 mines. He built two homes in town and added the 4 apartments downtown for his business guests. Each apartment offers a full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 large bedrooms and a private bath. The bathrooms still have the original clawfoot tubs. Three of the apartments are available for nightly lodging. The fourth apartment will be added in the near future.
